Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore Celebrates 40 Years of Service

The Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore recently celebrated a remarkable milestone—40 years of service to our community and around the world.

The evening brought together current and former members, community partners, and friends of Rotary to reflect on four decades of fellowship, leadership, and service. Guests enjoyed an evening of memories, laughter, and recognition as we celebrated the many people whose dedication has shaped our club since its charter in 1986.

A highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of a vehicle purchased for Happy in My Home, a local organization that provides transportation services to seniors. The vehicle will help ensure older adults can attend medical appointments, access essential services, and remain connected to their community. It was a fitting reminder that Rotary's impact is measured not only in years, but in lives changed.

During the evening, special recognition was given to four charter members who continue to be part of our Rotary family. Their commitment and vision helped establish a club that has remained dedicated to making a difference for 40 years.

Over the years, the Rotary Club of St. Catharines Lakeshore has supported countless local and international initiatives. From youth programs and literacy projects to environmental stewardship, food security initiatives, and global humanitarian efforts, our members have worked together to create lasting change.

While much has changed over four decades, one thing has remained constant: Rotary's commitment to Service Above Self. New members have joined, new ideas have emerged, and new projects have taken shape, but the spirit of service that founded our club continues to guide us today.

As we look toward the future, we do so with gratitude for those who built our foundation, pride in what we have accomplished together, and excitement for the opportunities ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 40 years. Together, we have made a difference—and together, we will continue to do so for many years to come.
