It is with heavy hearts that we have lost our member Peter Robinson.  Peter was a great worker at the club in everything he did from literacy, strategic planning or just flipping burgers at Ribfest.  He will be missed by all.

ROBINSON, Peter Baldwin B.A., LL.B., C.Med.

Peter Robinson died peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 65 years of age. Father of Alexander Baldwin Robinson and Jillian Weston Robinson, brother of Susanna Robinson Gilpin and her husband Vincent Gilpin. Peter was an exceptional father, professional, athlete and friend throughout his life. He attended the University of Western Ontario where he graduated with his BA in Psychology and then continued his education with law and mediation respectively at Queen’s University and Harvard University. His 37 year career started at Coy Barch & Reid McNaughton law firms and Peter was a partner at Martens Lingard LLP before he successfully founded Robinson Mediation Inc. A highlight of Peter’s legal career was his contribution to the implementation of Canadian laws in respect to commercial diving. Athletically, Peter won the cross-country title multiple times at Ridley College, played and coached competitive soccer for many years with his son, Alex, and followed his passion for diving and the water his entire life. He attained his Master Scuba Diver certification, dove with sharks all around the world, and in his free time enjoyed hiking and bungee jumping (to prove to Jill that “he still had it”). Peter was an active member of the Rotary Club of St Catharines Lakeshore and had many treasured lifetime friendships. A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held from 5 - 8 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at The St. Catharines Club, 77 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, L2R 5J5. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 52 Scott Street West, St. Catharines, 289-362-1144.
